Abstract: The Local Productive Arrangement, or Family Farming, is a set of socio-political-economic conditions located in the same territory. It focuses on planting and producing food, for own consumption and for sale, generating income for the family farmer/local agent. In Pernambuco, despite the low rate of adoption of technologies, the sector stands out for producing about 50% of the total production of the main crops in the country, being fundamental support policies and qualification actions in the sector. This article aimed to map the degree of productive and technological maturity of Family Farming in the Municipality of São Vicente Férrer (PE), through the application of a questionnaire, and to analyze the level of knowledge of local agents. Bibliographic analysis was used, with a qualitative descriptive approach, based on data synthesis. As a result, it was observed that there is a lack of information, qualification and dialogue in the sector, with dependence on third parties to have accessibility and develop activities. Governance plans, training and dissemination of information are necessary, as well as strategies and partnerships to provide modernization, innovation and sustainability, consolidating the sector in new spaces in the market, qualifying and improving the quality of local life.
